A while ago, I
thought with the recession still hitting hard, it was about time to make some
major cuts in the household budget. So that weekend while shopping, instead of
purchasing one of the leading brands of Laundry Detergent, I opted for the
least expensive, no frills alternative (suffice to say, the price of this went
up too a few weeks after!)
The message on the pack was clear;
“Biological Powder. Cleans, no added promises”. I thought this was hilarious!
It may have been, but the fact I couldn’t lose sight of here was that I was
actually being told the truth – the message here was:
‘This
detergent cleans and that’s about all it can do for you. It’s not promising
that your clothes will smell as fresh as summer flowers or that they will come
out of the wash as soft as cotton wool; but it certainly cleans.’
So the question is; do your skincare
products tell you the truth? Do they make you presume or blatantly promise
healthy skin, with natural toxin free ingredients, with no long term harmful
effects in your bloodstream?
Studies have shown that babies are born with
200 chemicals already in their bloodstream. We can’t live in ignorance anymore
– we really should know what’s in our skincare and household products.
That’s why I believe its time you took
control of things and take sole responsibility of what goes on the skin and into the
bloodstream of you and your family. The easiest way to take control of what
your skin eats is by doing things yourself.
I run Skincare Products Workshops where you
will learn how to make natural edible skincare products that are chemical and
preservative free with long shelf lives. You will learn how to make
moisturisers, masks, scrubs and treatments for various skin problems - products
that will feed your skin nutrients as nature intended.
You will also have this
knowledge that is yours to share with your family and friends for generations
to come. The Workshops are fun and interactive and no prior knowledge of
chemistry is required!
This weekend, take some time out and go
through the products in your bathroom, look through our Toxic Ingredients
Directory on our website at http://nayturesplace.com/publications/directories/
so you have an idea of what you could be feeding your skin.
Take matters into your hands, get a few
friends round, contact me on info@nayturesplace.com for a suitable date and I will be happy to
come round and run a workshop in your home or a venue near you.
Have a lovely weekend!
