The Longevity Herb in Your Tea and Coffee

I remember as a teenager reading the book ‘She’ by H. Rider Haggard.  The major character in the book was the mysterious Queen Ayesha; the beautiful 2,000 year- old ruler of the Lost World of Kor. After reading the book, the thought of living forever sounded really frightening!  It’s not my intention to frighten you this weekend, but to let you know that instead of thinking of walking into the ‘Fire of Life’ as attempted by Queen Ayesha (so she could live forever), we can thankfully live long healthy lives with self discipline and a bit of help from Nature.

The help comes from my Herb for the week - Ganoderma. It’s also known as Reishi, Lingzhi, or to the Vietnamese as Linh chi (literally meaning “supernatural mushroom"), but popularly known as the ‘King of Herbs’!  Ganoderma is a hard mushroom discovered over 2,000 years ago and used in traditional Chinese medicine to help promote good health and longevity.Amongst its numerous health benefits, studies have shown that Ganoderma also helps to:

·         protect against disease AND slow down the ageing process (yippee!!) due to increased levels of antioxidants
·         reduce cholesterol levels
·         ease allergy-related inflammation of the airways
·         strengthen the immune system by significantly increasing T-cells

For thousands of years, the Emperors took this mushroom for longevity. It was popularly known as “The Elixir of Youth” or “The Immortality Herb”!

In a United States Patented invention (US Patent No. 7060286 B2 June 13 2006) it was shown that Ganoderma helps protects against the degeneration of skin cells. The related studies showed that Ganoderma helped to smoothen the skin, reduce wrinkles and also had age defying properties.

Today, I’m the bearer of good news for coffee drinkers (and tea drinkers too)! Some really smart people have found an ingenious way of infusing Ganoderma into Coffee and Green Tea.  This is a pleasant and easy way to enjoy the benefits Ganoderma without having to worry about the not so pleasant taste of the mushroom!

So before you have another cup of Coffee or Green Tea,  go to this link  http://richercoffee.organogold.com/r/UK/ and try some that has been infused with Ganoderma and see the difference  for yourself!

And don’t just take my word for it, do some research and you’ll find out that Ganoderma truly is the King of Herbs!

Enjoy your cuppa and have a restful weekend!
